TANO Information
On behalf Barry Silverberg our CEO and the Texas Association of Nonprofit Organizations (TANO), I want to welcome you and Texas Federation Business and Professional Women's Foundation, Inc. TFBPW Foundation, Inc.. By joining our organization you obviously understand the need for nonprofits in Texas to work together, after all by working together we can only be stronger.
I know that usually organizations join TANO to benefit from one specific service, and I would love to know your reason.
One of the primary benefits of TANO membership is that you now have a full subscription to GrantStation’s MVP program, which is valued at $599. You can check this out at www.grantstation.com. We will designate this email address as the primary address for your organization and provide this to GrantStation. They will send you an email with the username and password they designate for your organization. If for some reason, you do not receive this, please let me know and I will request they send it to you again.
We are always increasing our membership benefits but for a complete current listing, please go to http://www.tano.org/en/cms/?129. I also suggest that you plan on attending our next TANO Member Orientation. I will be sending you a personal invitation to attend but also watch TANOgram for future opportunities.
Admittedly, TANO has so many membership benefits that it can be hard to keep them all in mind.
No worries - that is why I am here! As you conduct your organizations operations if you come across a need or an idea for support please do not hesitate to contact me. Chances are we offer it already. I also encourage you to ensure your board members and staff are aware of your TANO membership and that they sign up for their FREE membership via your organization. We have a wealth of experience working with boards and staff and can help them better understand their role and how to more effectively support your organization.
I went ahead and have linked the representatives that you designated in your application as members of TANO. I would encourage you to have all of your staff register as an individual member of TANO but associated with your organization. This is FREE and allows them to post events/jobs for your organization as well as register for classes and other opportunities’ at the TANO rate. If they are not registered with your organization, our system will not recognize them as a member and either now allow them to process their requests or charge them the non-member rates. If you or they have any questions, please contact me at mbharrington@tano.org.
Again, welcome and I look forward to working with you in the future.
Thank you for your support of the Texas nonprofit sector!
Mary Beth
