Scholarship Application for

GILDA MURRAY SCHOLARSHIP

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to Texas Business Women,Inc. (TBW) members, 25 years or older, to obtain education or training to prepare for employment or to advance in a business or profession.

Scholarship Amount: 50% of the cost of the training, up to $1,000.00 per recipient per calendar year

Scholarship Requirements

1) Applicant must be a member in good standing of Texas Business Women, Inc. (You can visit tbwconnect.com/joinfor membership information.)

2) Applicant must be at least 25 years old.

Application Process

1) Applicant may apply at anytime throughout the fiscal year, beginning July 1. However, funds may be disbursed based on the order in which applications are received.

2) Selection may be based on both merit and need.

3) Complete applications shall include a statement describing the educational program or training and its benefits to the applicant.

I have read, understand, and agree to abide by the scholarship requirements and submit the following information freely and willingly to the Scholarship Committee to assist them in the selection of scholarship recipients. I have completed all the information on this application and certify that it is accurate and that my permission is given to verify and qualify all information provided in this application. Should I be chosen to receive this scholarship, I authorize the Texas Business and Professional Women's Foundation, Inc. to release my name and picture in marketing materials and/or the announcement of Scholarship awards. I understand that any award funds not used for this stated purpose must be refunded to TBPW Foundation.
